A Melbourne-based tutor for Years 7–12, working across the sciences, maths and English, as well as GAMSAT, UCAT, NAPLAN and Victorian Selective Entry preparation — with an approach built on genuine understanding, not just getting through content.
Tanya — Founder & Tutor
I'm currently a pharmacy student and medical student, with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) behind me. Along the way I sat the GAMSAT and scored an overall 80, and finished secondary school with a VTAC score of 3200 — so I've been on the other side of exactly the kind of exams and assessments I now help students prepare for.
I started tutoring five years ago, working with students both in person and online, and I've since taught students right across Australia. That mix means I've had to get good at explaining the same concept in different ways for different learners — which is exactly what I bring into every session.
My focus is always the same: understand where a student actually is, meet them there, and build from a foundation of real comprehension rather than memorised shortcuts. That's what holds up under exam pressure — whether that's a Yr 9 Maths test or the GAMSAT.
"Understanding beats memorising, every time — and it's what actually holds up on exam day."

A little more detail on qualifications and experience.
Built a strong foundation across biology, chemistry and the sciences that now underpins how I teach these subjects.
Began tutoring students while still studying Biomedical Science, and quickly expanded online, going on to teach students right across Australia.
Currently completing this second degree with Honours, while also sitting the GAMSAT and scoring an overall 80.
Currently studying medicine while tutoring Years 7–12 across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, GAMSAT, UCAT, NAPLAN and Victorian Selective Entry preparation.
Sessions are structured around each student's actual syllabus and assessment style, with regular check-ins on progress. Homework and practice questions are set after every session and tracked in the student portal so families always know what's due and when the next class is.
Many students have stayed with me for years, some since Year 6, because the sessions grow with them rather than staying generic. Whether it's in person or online, families always know exactly what's been covered and what's coming up next.
